There is a divided cruise community when it comes to working and playing on a cruise.

One side of the table insists that they want nothing to do with business on the ship other than they usually want internet access, and the cruise is to be all relaxation and play. That is a great opinion, and if it works for you, wonderful! You do what you want to do on your cruise!

The other side of the aisle is filled with people who have built a life that is not 9–5. They are not retired. They may be digital nomads. They may be entrepreneurs, and they cannot leave their business unattended…yet. They do a lot of Zoom meetings. They work in multiple time zones. They conduct online classes and operate online businesses. They want to be able to access fast internet when needed and have access to a printer occasionally without a lot of hassle.

Many entrepreneurs, in addition to work flexibility, populate YouTube channels, Twitter, and other content-heavy enterprises.

Having fast internet and even a modest business center allows this group of cruisers to be on the cruise or an even more extended…
