The untold stories are out of an actual apocalyptic event the best Hollywood special effects teams could not create into another block buster storyline.

The landscape that was, will never be again.

The inaccessibility of countless communities means they are mostly on their own for days, weeks, some it will be months until any measurable help can arrive.

The true death toll, I doubt, will ever really be known when entire communities ceased to exist in a wall of water.

I know as of today 10/6/24 the death toll reported is a mere 227. I am expecting the final count to be thousands when lists are made, and so many people on it never reappear again.

The never to be found casualties are already buried under who knows what debris and silt as a final resting place.

Rebuilding…officials and reporters talk about rebuilding.
